The Yoga Space has moved to a new location

After almost fourteen happy years in our current studio, we have moved to a new studio in a lively neighbourhood!

The Spring Session starts in the new studio on April 15th, 2013.

Our new address is 677 East 27th (in a new building on the north west corner of Fraser and 27th).

Saturday Pranayama Class

Pranayama: the study of yogic breath. The Saturday Pranayama class will now be from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. The class is open to students enrolled in any regular class who want to develop a pranayama practice. For more information, call 604-876-9600 or email louie.j.ettling@gmail.com.

Lunch time Yoga

We are building a list of people interested in a yoga class during the lunch hour. If you want to participate, let us know and we will start a class as soon as there are at least 5 interested people. Night Owls & Shift Workers — A yoga class designed for you

Continually on your feet all shift? Come and unwind after work on Tuesdays 9:45 – 10:45 pm. Discover a way to better health and posture. By the end of the session, you can expect increased flexibility, reduced tension, sharpened concentration, improved posture and sleep. Yoga for Kids & Teens

We are building a list of kids and teens interested in doing yoga. If you or someone you know want to participate, let Lily know and we will start these classes as soon as enough people are interested. Lily at rubberboots@shaw.ca; (604) 451-1240.

Going Deeper — a monthly three hour class for mature practitioners

"After a session of yoga, the mind becomes tranquil and passive" B.K.S Iyengar.
This monthly Friday afternoon class is taught by Louie for adept students who can hold a ten minute independent headstand, balance in Sirsasana II in the middle of the room and have a dedicated home practice. We will focus on what each practitioner could work on in the weeks between classes, in order to grow in their practice.
The classes are offered once a month on a Friday, except January and August, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. See “Year At A Glance” page for specific dates.
COST: $35 per class or $300 for all 10 classes.

Canada Line — it's spacious, fast and fun. Canada Line comes within a very short bus ride to the studio area on King Edward/Cambie. Take Bus #25 towards Fraser St to get to the studio.

Buses — the 40 foot limousines of the people. The #8 bus goes from the top of Main St all the way down Fraser St. The #25 bus stops on King Edward Ave, within a short 4 minutes walk from the studio.

Pedal Power — There are many bike routes through the city streets. Check out the Vancouver City bicycle route map for details. There are bike racks outside the studio to safely lock up your bicycle.

If you absolutely need to drive, consider car pooling — a great way to meet and get to know fellow students. There is a sign up sheet in the studio. Parking is available all around the studio.
